Table Grapes 2026: An Exceptional Harvest

Moroccan and Spanish vineyards promise table grapes of remarkable quality. An overview of the season's key varieties.

· by Alaska Export Team

The 2026 table grape season is off to a very promising start. Following a wet winter and a sunny spring, vineyards in Morocco’s Meknès region and Spain’s Almería are forecasting yields up 7%, with eating quality described as exceptional by the first maturity analyses.

White Grapes

Muscat of Alexandria and Superior Seedless dominate early-season shipments. These seedless varieties, with their round, crunchy berries, perfectly meet European market expectations for convenience and flavor. Sugar content exceeds 17° Brix on the best plots.

Dark Grapes

Red Globe and Crimson Seedless round out the offer with richly colored, firm-skinned berries that are ideal for long supply chains. The deep burgundy color of these varieties is a powerful visual selling point on retail shelves.
